Sample report

See what a Gradlume resume review looks like

Upload your resume and you get an ATS-style score, the fixes in priority order, and a formatted copy you can download. Here is a real report for a made-up resume.

Fictional sample. This resume, its owner and its employers are invented, and the report is the analyzer's actual output for it. Nothing on this page comes from anyone's real resume.

The score

Four categories of 25 points each. It is a guide to what to fix, not a verdict.

66of 100
  • Format20 / 25

    Length, contact details, layout, dates

  • Content21 / 25

    Standard sections, bullets, weak phrases

  • Keywords12 / 25

Skills a recruiter's search would find

  • Impact13 / 25

    Action verbs and measurable results

What to fix first

Each observation says what was seen and what to do about it, most important first.

  • medium

    Weak / passive phrases found

    Found: "responsible for", "helped with".

Fix: Replace with direct action verbs describing what you did and the result.

  • medium

    Resume is very short

141 words detected. Either the file is mostly images/tables (which ATS cannot read) or content is thin.

Fix: Ensure text is real text (not images) and add detail to experience/projects.

  • low

    No LinkedIn URL

    Recruiters routinely cross-check LinkedIn.

Fix: Add linkedin.com/in/your-handle to the header.

  • low

    "References available upon request"

Employers assume this, and it uses a line you could spend on content.

    Fix: Delete the line.

  • low

    Inconsistent date formats

    Found Mon YYYY, Month YYYY.

Fix: Pick one format (e.g., Jan 2024 – Present) and use it everywhere.

A formatted copy, for members

After the review you can download the resume as a plain, single-column Word file that is easier for applicant-tracking systems to read. This is formatting only: it does not reword anything, add numbers, fix weak bullets or check your facts, it uses no AI, and you review every line before you download. For this sample it would:

  • Gave standard sections their standard names (Experience, Education, Skills and so on) (4)
  • Turned bullet symbols into real bullet points (5)
  • Made month names consistent (Jan 2024 style)
  • Removed a "references available upon request" line

Experience

  • Data Engineering Intern, Example Analytics Inc., Jun 2025 - Aug 2025
  • Built Airflow pipelines that load 40 million records a day into the warehouse, cutting nightly load time from 6 hours to 2.
  • Responsible for maintaining the team's data quality dashboards
  • Wrote dbt models and tests for 30 tables, reducing data-quality incidents by 45%.
  • Software Engineering Intern, Sample Labs LLC, Jan 2025 - Apr 2025

Bullets that lack a number are listed for you to improve with facts only you know. We never invent them.
